Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated research assistant (doctoral student) in the field of digital marketing to join the team at the TUM Campus Heilbronn under the direction of Prof. Dr. Martin Meißner. The position is available immediately and is initially limited to two years, with the possibility of extension. This position offers the opportunity to pursue a doctorate. In addition to research (especially the management and coordination of laboratory work), the research assistant will also assume teaching responsibilities.
Research Focus:
Our team conducts research in the areas of social media, virtual and augmented reality, as well as decision-making and eye tracking. We employ quantitative-empirical research methods. Our research is interdisciplinary by nature and encourages collaboration with the fields of business informatics and (consumer) psychology.

Your tasks…
- Conducting a doctorate under professional supervision
- Participation in high-quality research projects with the aim of publication in top international journals
- Management and coordination of work in the experimental laboratory at the Heilbronn campus. Further information about the experimental laboratory (XR Lab) can be found here .
- Presentation of research results at international conferences
- Teaching in the field of marketing
- Supervision of Bachelor’s and Master’s students
Your profile…
- Completed Master’s degree in Business Administration/Management, Psychology, Business Informatics, or Computer Science
- Experience in data analysis
- Knowledge of eye tracking or virtual reality environments is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills; knowledge of machine learning is an advantage
- Great interest in scientific research with the aim of obtaining a doctorate
- High motivation and enthusiasm for working in an interdisciplinary research environment
- Very good knowledge of German and English
