The Health Sciences High Throughput Genomics Core (HTGC) is hiring a full-time Laboratory Research Technician IV. HTGC is a high-throughput, industrial-scale sequencing Core Facility. The ideal candidate has prior experience in clinical molecular testing or next generation sequencing. In this position, you will train in all areas of the laboratory performing high-complexity clinical testing. The candidate will independently perform clinical testing in accordance with established SOPs. Process all clinical, QC and PT specimens through clinical workflow. Performs a variety of independent and complex laboratory work and other duties as assigned.
Job Summary
Performs a variety of independent and complex laboratory work and experiments. Analyzes and interprets data, compiles results, and prepares reports. Maintains inventory, ordering, and logs. Writes manuscripts and grant proposals and prepares data visualizations.

Physical Effort
- Standing or sitting for long periods of time at the bench.
- Reading small print on tubes, cryovials, and labels.
- Lifting up to 30 pounds. Walking to and from buildings, travel to campus if needed.
