Specialist in Discrete Element Modelling for Masonry Conservation Engineering (KTP Associate) (718074)
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering in partnership with Will Rudd (https://www.ruddconsult.com/) are seeking to appoint a KTP Associate to develop robust evidence-based recommendations using DMEM (Discrete Macro-Element Method) analysis coupled with (Finite Element Method) FEM software and embed advanced modelling and monitoring strategies within the business for the assessment and analysis of new and heritage masonry structures.
The post will be based at Will Rudd premises in Glasgow City Centre, with visits to the nearby University campus.
Will Rudd are Structural and Civil Engineering Consulting Engineers covering all core genres of our profession, together with a broad array of specialisms developed to create a diverse skills set and distinguish ourselves form our competitors. We have vast experience of delivering engineering solutions to problems associated with old buildings and hold accreditation with the CARE Scheme. We undertake a huge range of briefs involving the use of innovative and conventional materials for new build projects ranging from hotels, residential and leisure complexes to factories, commercial offices, museums and national monuments. We also have a very successful specialist service in façade engineering and cold formed pressed metal system design. We have delivered on a wide range of Civil Engineering commissions of varying size and complexity.
