1. Postdoctoral Fellowship

About Postdoctoral Position

The Research Fellow will support the delivery of the UK Centre for implementing evidence in adult social care – Improving Adult Social Care Together (IMPACT). They will work closely with Professor Louise McCabe, Deputy Head of Evidence and Evaluation. This is an opportunity to be part of an exciting and innovative Implementation Centre funded by the ESRC and the Health Foundation to improve social care outcomes by implementing evidence-based practice in the sector across all four UK nations. The post holder’s core responsibilities will be with the review of evidence to support change and internal evaluation of the centre’s projects.

2. Postdoctoral Fellowship

About Postdoctoral Position

The successful candidate will be joining an international meta-ethnographic research project that involves a network of investigators in the field of dementia working alongside community development projects involving people living with dementia. The three-year study includes six fieldsites in three countries that will critically explore the policy prominent notion of ‘dementia-friendly communities’. We aim to work closely with people living with dementia and their care partners at every level and stage of the research exploring the experience of living with dementia in a community setting.

3. Postdoctoral Fellowship

About Postdoctoral Position

The Research Fellow will work closely with Professor Bowes, Dr Dawson and Dr Pemble, developing and delivering the case study. The work will be conducted in close consultation with the City Deal team. We are seeking a specialist in qualitative research with an intergenerational perspective. Skills in working with young people (18+) will be particularly welcome. Our data will include interviews, focus groups, and visual data. There will be opportunities for involvement in impact activities, especially in the later stages of the project. You will report to the Principal Investigator, Professor Alison Bowes.
