Job Description

The CBI’s scientific communication and mediation department’s mission is to promote the results of research carried out at the CBI and to give visibility to the CBI by implementing a scientific communication and mediation strategy aimed at different audiences.
The apprentice will participate in the implementation of scientific communication and mediation projects launched as part of the CBI’s annual communication plan.
He/she will take part in the various activities of the scientific mediation and communication department to understand the scope of the missions of a communications officer.
Among these missions, he/she:
– Will participate in the development and implementation of the CBI editorial policy, particularly on the internet
– Will monitor scientific news and events from the CBI laboratories and disseminate them on the CBI website and on the Bluesky and LinkedIn accounts
– Based on the new visual identity of the CBI (new website), will design consistent communication tools (website news, internal newsletter, etc.)
– Will participate in the CBI’s scientific mediation actions
– Will participate in the regional network of communication correspondents of the DR14; in other communication and scientific mediation networks and forums, seminars
– Will evaluate the CBI’s communication and scientific mediation actions
– Will contribute to the development of the CBI’s communication strategy and its implementation
The activity is carried out within the CBI’s communication and scientific mediation department (7 people including 6 communication correspondents from the units; 2 FTEs), under the responsibility of the CBI’s scientific mediation and communication officer.
The actions are carried out in partnership with the communications services of DR14 and the University of Toulouse, with academic partners, local authorities and regional stakeholders in scientific, technical and industrial culture.

The apprenticeship offer is to be filled within the Center for Integrative Biology of Toulouse (CBI, https://cbi-toulouse.fr/fr/) research federation attached to the regional delegation Occitanie Ouest (DR14). The CBI brings together 3 laboratories, the Center for Research on Animal Cognition (CRCA), the laboratory of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology (MCD) and the laboratory of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics (LMGM).
The CBI strives to understand the functioning of living organisms. To achieve this objective, it develops multidisciplinary, multi-scale approaches from isolated molecules to whole organisms and animal societies, and uses numerous model organisms, from bacteria to humans.

Student in M2 information and communication (or scientific communication; scientific mediation; public or institutional communication, events or cultural mediation) with an interest in science and scientific research

Special conditions of exercise
