About the role
The Laboratory Support Assistant will be part of the NHLI core laboratory management team, and play a key role in maintaining our research laboratories to a high standard.
What you would be doing
The Laboratory Support Assistant role is primarily responsible for day to day laboratory operational support and housekeeping. This will include:
- Waste management (including processing of laboratory waste)
- Ordering and cataloguing of key laboratory chemicals and consumables
- Assisting laboratory managers with safety compliance and laboratory equipment maintenance.
- Assisting with the cataloguing and clearing of Freezers and liquid Nitrogen tanks.

- Experience of working in a laboratory environment
- A self-motivated individual with an ability to work independently and as part of a team, with an eye for detail and good organisational skills.
- A dynamic individual that can adapt to changing priorities and support other members of the laboratory management team when required.
