Job Description

The postdoctoral fellow will contribute to the HEALMOD initiative at OSU, an interdisciplinary project that delves deep into the intersections of health, environment, and societal contexts. Through advanced computational methods and collaboration, HEALMOD addresses global challenges by blending eco-social health determinants, human-natural system interactions, and convergence research. The selected candidate will work alongside a dynamic team of scholars, engage in innovative project development, and participate in boundary-spanning research activities.

Additional Information:

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Statistics or a closely related field with focus in one of the following areas: Demography, Geography, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Quantitative Sociology, Economics, or Political Science.
  • Demonstrated experience in interdisciplinary research, ideally at the crossroads of human health, environmental dynamics, and socio-cultural contexts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

Duration:

  • This is a 2-year position with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability.

The position is available immediately upon identifying suitable candidate.
