Work context
This two-year position is part of the “Disability Segregation and Ordinary Housing” (SEGREGHAN) project, which receives funding from IRESP (2025-2028). While the autonomy (particularly residential) of people with disabilities is valued and supported by various public action schemes, this collective research aims to better understand the specificities of the housing conditions, trajectories and housing experiences of people with disabilities. Using several survey methods, it questions the residential segregation of disability and seeks to better understand both the specificities and internal diversity of the “private worlds” of disability, by articulating this social relationship with class and gender. Within a close-knit collective of four researchers (Jérôme Bas, Aurélie Damamme, Pierre Gilbert and Hélène Steinmetz), the recruited person will contribute to the collective research by taking charge of one of the components of this research, consisting of an interview survey with beneficiaries of disability-related benefits.
She will be hosted at CRESPPA (UMR 7217, in Paris 17th) and will work in conjunction with the Segreghan research team. As the fieldwork will take place partly outside the Paris region, it will involve a trip of approximately one month (accommodation and travel expenses covered). Some of the interviews will be conducted in areas that are difficult to access without a car: possession of a B driving license would therefore be a plus, but adjustments are possible depending on the constraints of the person recruited.
