Fully Funded Master of Applied Science in Biomedical Engineering at University of British Columbia

Master’s Program Degree Eligibility with GPA,   

1) Course-only Option – students will not take BMEG 597 and instead fulfill the 6 credits by enrolling in additional courses, approved by the program.

2) Courses with Internship Option – students will complete an internship by taking BMEG 597, which will cover 6 credits of required courses.

3) Courses with Co-op Option – students will not take BMEG 597 and instead complete a 4, 8 or 12-month-long co-op placement with one organization after completing all course requirements (30 credits). This placement is facilitated through the UBC Applied Science Co-op Program.

MEng students must complete a minimum of 30 credits of coursework to complete the program. Both the course-based, and internship options require the following:

3) At least 24 credits must be at the 500-level.

4) A minimum of 18 of the 24 credits must be in the program area at the 500-level, including a project, if required, up to a maximum 6 credits.

5) A maximum of 6 credits may be taken at the 300-/400-level.

6) A maximum of 6 credits of 500-level directed studies courses may be counted toward the program requirements.
