About Master’s Program,
The Masters of Science in Architectural Studies (MSAS) is a 36-credit hour nonprofessional graduate degree program for advanced investigations. Location for application is dependent on the concentration area of specialization.
The MSAS Degree Program welcomes applications from both research and practice-oriented candidates and will prepare students for professional advancement and specialized careers. Masters in Architecture applicants may choose to earn a Graduate Certificate as an additional credential, or they may earn a separate MSAS Concentration Degree.

Master’s Program Degree Eligibility with GPA,
The application process consists of three principal components: 1) Documents that you personally submit online to the University of Florida Office of Graduate Admissions, 2) Documents and information that you request to be sent to UF, on your behalf, and 3) Documents that you submit to the School of Architecture directly. To avoid complications and delays in processing your application, send each of your application materials to the proper address as shown below. Note that individual departments do not have access to materials that are incorrectly sent to other offices. Please prepare your admissions packages to be sent to the locations noted below.
Master’s Funding Coverage,
There are opportunities for qualified graduate students to assist faculty with teaching and research on main campus as well as at our CityLab locations. There are positions in three different categories. On main campus students may apply for Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTA) and Graduate Research Assistants (GRA). At our CityLab locations, fellowships are available to support faculty teaching and research. Assistantships and fellowships vary in length from one semester to four semesters, depending on need and student qualifications. GTA’s, GRA’s, and Fellowships include a stipend plus a tuition waiver of up to 9 credit hours per semester.
