About Master’s Program,
The Music Education program at Case Western Reserve University offers a robust framework that emphasizes small class sizes, personalized faculty mentoring, practical experience, and active participation in teaching. Our dedicated faculty guide students through both undergraduate and graduate degree programs, equipping them to become proactive scholar-practitioners and leaders in the field.
Master’s Program Degree Eligibility with GPA,
Applicants must have a B-average or rank in the upper third of their graduating class at an institution where status and programs are readily assessed.
There are no minimum scores on this well-known graduate admission test. The departments will review each applicant’s qualifications individually. The GRE scores are valid for 5 years from the date of the exam.
All applicants must have the equivalent of a four-year, US bachelor’s degree conferred prior to the start of the term of admission.

Graduate assistants play a vital role, contributing to various areas such as ensembles (bands, choirs, orchestras), research initiatives, music technology, and undergraduate music education courses.
