About Master’s Program,
The Department of Philosophy at Colorado State University offers a Master of Arts degree in philosophy. The department has established scholars specializing in traditional subdisciplines in philosophy including Aesthetics, Epistemology, Ethics, History of Philosophy, Logic, and Metaphysics.
The department also has a focus on global philosophies, including Asian and Arabic philosophies. The department has long been recognized as a leader in applied ethics, especially bioethics and environmental ethics.
Master’s Program Degree Eligibility with GPA,
Applicants should have a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 3.25 or higher. In special circumstances, the department may waive this GPA requirement when other elements of the student’s application are truly outstanding or when grades were affected by extenuating circumstances.

Master’s Funding Coverage,
Each year, the department offers 6-7 graduate teaching assistantships to incoming graduate students. These funding packages cover tuition, health insurance, and a monthly stipend.
