The Harbert College has a long-standing and mutually beneficial relationship with the PhD Project. It allows them to explore Harbert’s PhD program offerings. At the same time, it benefits our PhD programs by recruiting high-quality students from diverse backgrounds.

PhD Program Degree Eligibility with GPA,
The program is a four-year, full-time program. The bulk of coursework is completed in the first two years. The third year is devoted to completing comprehensive exams and research projects and beginning the dissertation. The fourth year is dedicated to dissertation research. Students are permitted some flexibility in choosing their courses when designing their program of study with the approval of the PhD committee.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (master’s degree is strongly preferred)
- Take the GMAT or GRE
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for the PhD program. However, the faculty may suggest extra studies if you do not have academic prerequisites that may be expected for the program.
PhD Funding Coverage,
Each of our PhD programs offer a number of graduate assistantships. These assistantships provide a monthly stipend tuition waiver. This way you can earn your degree without having to worry about finances. You’ll only be responsible for minimal university fees and the cost of books. You must complete the Graduate School application online, make arrangements for your test scores and transcripts to be sent to the Graduate School, and pay your application fee.
