PhD Program Degree Eligibility with GPA,   

PhD candidates are freed from any requirement to teach as part of their graduate support. PhD candidates are required to complete 3 full course equivalents as a course assistant and make adequate progress toward graduation and work with faculty members on research projects.

Admissions completes a holistic look at your academic record and academic potential.  Your academic statement, standardized test scores, and recommendation letters also affect admission decisions.

PhD Funding Coverage,

We provide full tuition, health insurance, and a competitive stipend for 5 years. We have students with families who live on this stipend, you have to pay insurance for your family yourself. We only make fully-funded offers. We share these numbers in our offer of admission.

To submit a complete application, you need to:

  • Complete the online applicationform
  • Prepare a statement of purpose
  • Prepare a personal statement
  • Submit two letters of recommendation
  • Submit a copy of your transcripts from each institution attended
  • Have an official score report on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examinations (GREs) sent to the Cornell Graduate School

  • English Language Proficiency Requirement
