Duke University’s PhD in Public Policy program at Sanford offers candidates the chance to explore policy questions that have critical impact on society today, both globally and domestically.
The Sanford School is a national and international leader in the dynamic field of public policy studies, with numerous interdisciplinary centers exploring vital policy questions in the field and in the classroom. Members of our faculty are experts in fields ranging from aging, education, and the environment to international affairs, media and democracy, and welfare reform.
PhD Program Degree Eligibility with GPA,
We require that you self-calculate your UGPA on a 4.0 scale if you have:
your goals in pursuing the PhD in Public Policy at Duke
your academic and professional experience
your intended course of study, including a disciplinary concentration and policy area focus
your longer-term career objectives
Duke University and the Sanford School of Public Policy are committed to fully supporting Public Policy PhD students for five years through scholarships, fellowships, research or teaching assistantships and stipends, provided that students maintain satisfactory progress in the program.
