The laboratory of Dr. Yini Li in the Borch Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at Purdue University is seeking two Postdoctoral Researchers (Fellows) with a keen interest in epigenetic crosstalk (i.e., RNA modifications, regulatory RNAs, and chromatin regulation) in normal neurodevelopment and neurodegenerative diseases. Our wet/dry hybrid laboratory employs a wide range of tools, including molecular biology, functional genomics, multi-omics, and bioinformatics, to investigate how epigenetic crosstalk promotes normal neurodevelopment and how dysregulation of these factors contributes to neurodegeneration.
RNA Biology, Neuroscience, and Neurodegenerative Diseases
The successful candidate will have a strong interest in RNA biology, neuroscience, and/or neurodegenerative diseases. A Ph.D. in biology, neuroscience, or equivalent fields with molecular biology skills is required. Preferred experience includes:
- Human iPSC cell culture
- Neuronal cell differentiation
- NGS library preparation
- Large-scale CRISPR screening in mammalian cells
- Protein/RNA biology
The research is conducted at Purdue University, West Lafayette (Main) Campus, Indiana. Purdue is one of the world’s top-ranked research universities and is among the top 10 most innovative schools in the US.
