About Fully Funded PhD in Social Work

Boston College’s School of Social Work, which is located in Boston, Massachusetts, offers a fully funded PhD in Social Work. The normal full-time PhD in Social Work program lasts four years. Each student is paired with a faculty mentor who shares their research interests. Students spend two years learning research skills before embarking on two years of autonomous scholarly research.

Eligibility Criteria

Earned master’s degree prior to entering the PhD.
You are expected to have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and subject-specific GPA of 3.5 or above.
English language proficiency requirements (non-native English speakers)

PhD Funding Coverage

PhD candidates receive a doctoral fellowship worth more than $200,000 over the course of four years. Tuition, a yearly living stipend, health insurance, and conference support are all included.
