About Postdoctoral Position
Osteosarcoma stem cells (OSCS) derive the tumour growth. This project will utilise OSCs and healthy bone stem cells to engineer 3D osteosarcomas. The Postdoc will increase the complexity of the tissue by adding immune and vasculature cells that are found in bone and tumour environments in vivo. They will initially investigate the epigenetic and metabolic profiles of the engineered tissue and the impact of the scaffold on tumour development. They will apply RNAseq, gene editing and CRISPR approaches to investigate specific pathways that impact the tumour tissue formation. The engineered tumour tissue will be subjected to a high-throughput drug screen to identify molecules that can target OSCs and their progeny in vitro and in osteosarcoma animal models.
Application Deadline: 25.06.2023

About Postdoctoral Position
The Center for Integrative Genomics of the University of Lausanne invites applications for a postdoctoral position in the group of Lluis Fajas, under the supervision of Dr. Sarah Geller, in the protein CDK4 (Cyclin-Dependent Kinase 4) role in the regulation of energy homeostasis and reproduction. This project is related to subject developed within the laboratory about the hypothalamic functions of CDK4. We are interested notably in better understanding the role of hypothalamic glial cells in the regulation of neuroendocrine functions.
