About Postdoctoral Position
A motivated postdoctoral scientist is sought to join the Chemoproteomics Research Team being established in the School of Biological Sciences at Queen’s University Belfast. The successful candidate will undertake a role in the planning and delivery of research activities focused on cutting-edge chemoproteomics, global proteomics, ubiquitinomics, and phosphoproteomics in conjunction with our partners Almac discovery and our partners in Medicine at QUB.
PhD Career: What are the Career Option?
6. Postdoctoral Fellowship
About Postdoctoral Position
The successful candidate will contribute to the research of the EPSRC funded project and to investigate the manufacturing and characterisation of 4D-printable nanocomposite materials for artificial muscles. This project aims to develop a new class of stimuli responsive electro-actuators through additive manufacturing of polymers and polymer nanocomposites. A key aspect of the project is the ability to manufacture 4D-printed layered architectures, capable of responding to their external stimuli (e.g., electrical, pressure), via additive manufacturing which will maximise efficiency, control, and strength of the resulting artificial muscles.
7. Postdoctoral Fellowship
About Postdoctoral Position
The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Research Fellow to be a highly productive, ambitious, and collaborative member of the W-Tech (Wright Technology Centre) research team. The post holder will assist in the planning and delivery of the research activity specifically in the development of new digital twin technologies relevant to the bus sector, as well as the development of research proposals.
8. Postdoctoral Fellowship
About Postdoctoral Position
The consortium, funded by the Leverhulme trust, aims to design new catalysts and chemical processes for direct capture and conversion of CO2 and biomass derived feedstocks to liquid transportation fuels to facilitate decarbonisation and accelerate our ambition to Net zero emissions targets. This is an opportunity to work within a vibrant multidisciplinary catalysis lab and liaise with colleagues from Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Computational Simulations as well as interact on a regular basis with our collaborators from refinery and renewable energy companies.
9. Postdoctoral Fellowship
About Postdoctoral Position
The GroundsWell Consortium, funded by the UK Prevention Research Partnership, aims to drive community innovation by applying systems science that maximises the contribution of Urban Green and Blue Space to the primary prevention of, and reduction of inequalities in, non-communicable diseases in urban settings. The Consortium has over 30 co-investigators across 7 institutions, as well as a range of non-academic stakeholders. The post-holder will liaise with the investigators and researchers based at Queen’s University, Belfast, University of Liverpool and University of Edinburgh. The Research Fellow will work closely with the Directors, project partners and the Consortium Management group.
10. Postdoctoral Fellowship
About Postdoctoral Position
The purpose of this project is to support a larger investigation into the emergence of the bacterial pathogens Erysipelothrix rhusopathiae and Brucella abortus in wild musk oxen and caribou in the Arctic archipelago in northern Canada. The project as a whole uses multiple methods to elucidate the causes of pathogen emergence and spread in these species and consequences for population dynamics and food security for the Inuit people. The appointee will work with Prof Morgan and the wider team to develop and apply models of pathogen dynamics to this problem.
11. Postdoctoral Fellowship
About Postdoctoral Position
