About Postdoctoral Position
This project includes design and preparation of perovskite solar cells for conversion of solar light to electricity. Solar cells based on perovskite have recently shown very promising properties to reach high efficiency at low cost. One problem that remains is that the stability of the perovskite solar cell is not sufficient, which to large extent depends on ion movements and chemical reactions in the solar cell. In this project we will specifically investigate ion movements in the perovskite layer and other layers in the solar cell and their effects on solar cell performance.
The project includes use of advanced spectroscopies and other methods to characterize the perovskite materials and solar cells, to understand and control ion conductivity and chemical reactions with the final goal to reach a stable perovskite solar cell. We will also investigate and find ways the controll charge separation and recombination processes to increase the efficiency of the solar cells.

How and why genetic diversity varies among species is a central and long-standing question in evolutionary biology. In the 70’s Richard Lewontin noted that the observed range of genetic diversity is much narrower than expected given the huge range of population sizes (“the Lewontin’s paradox”). Despite recent progress, this puzzling observation remains unresolved, likely because the various hypotheses (role of demography, selection and recombination, and life-history traits) have been studied separately. In the project, the candidate will analyze all processes together, focusing on seed plants, which offer large variations in abundance, life history traits, and genomic attributes.

About Postdoctoral Position
The primary focus of this project will be on the development of methods for efficient recycling of electrode materials from lithium-ion batteries. Therefore, the main aim of the project is to understand the details of reaction in recycling of cathode materials such as LiNi0.6Mn0.2Co0.2O2 (NMC) and LiCoO2. The knowledge will be used to improve the efficiency of recycling process, e.g. to decrease the amount of impurity in recycled materials and the lower energy consumption for recycling.
The project will investigate possibilities on using different solvents and acids for leaching cathode materials. Different aspects of such systems will be studied including material properties, leaching reactions as well as how they can be used in large scale in industry. The ultimate aim of this project is to increase knowledge and understanding in this field and take the next steps in the development green methods for recycling of materials from lithium-ion batteries.
