In Canada, the University of Saskatchewan provides a fully financed PhD in Soil Science. The four-year PhD program in Soil Science provides foundational knowledge in soil and environmental sciences as well as chances for further study and research.

At the start of their programs, all students registered in thesis-based graduate programs within departments within the College of Agriculture and Bioresources receive a minimal level of financing. For Ph.D. students, the minimum funding amount is $24,000 per year for three years.

Eligibility Criteria 

  • Earned master’s degree prior to entering the PhD.
  • You are expected to have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and subject-specific GPA of 3.5 or above.
  • English language proficiency requirements (non-native English speakers)

The minimum funding amount is $24,000 per year for three years.
