About Fully Funded PhD in Art History and Latin American Studies at Tulane University

Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, provides a PhD in Art History and Latin American Studies that is completely supported. A collaboration between the Newcomb Art Department’s Art History Program and the Stone Center for Latin American Studies. The joint PhD program combines the breadth and comparative perspective of Latin American Studies with a disciplinary foundation in art history.

Eligibility Criteria

Earned master’s degree prior to entering the PhD.
You are expected to have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and subject-specific GPA of 3.5 or above.
English language proficiency requirements (non-native English speakers)

PhD Funding Coverage

Students pursuing a Ph.D. are completely financed. Fellowships, teaching assistantships, and tuition exemptions will be available as forms of financial assistance. Up to five years of support may be provided to those starting the PhD program after completing their BA.
