About Fully Funded PhD in Mathematics

Baylor University, based in Waco, Texas offers a fully funded PhD in Mathematics. The PhD Degree with excellent research opportunities in a range of research areas in pure and applied mathematics. The Ph.D. degree in Mathematics requires a minimum of 72 hours of study, which must include at least 48 hours of approved graduate-level courses.

Eligibility Criteria

Earned master’s degree prior to entering the PhD.
You are expected to have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and subject-specific GPA of 3.5 or above.

PhD Funding Coverage

All accepted students receive a Graduate Assistantship consisting of a stipend of $26,000 for 12 months, full tuition remission, annual travel funding for conferences, and an 80% subsidy for student health insurance. Exceptional students are eligible for up to $8,000 of additional stipend enhancement.
